Every year during the Islamic month of Dhul Hijjah, Muslims around the world slaughter an animal – a goat, sheep, cow or camel – to reflect the Prophet Ibrahim’s willingness to sacrifice his son Ismail, for the sake of Allah. At least one third of the meat from the animal must go to poor or vulnerable people. (Wikipedia)
So, when the time for Eidul Adha 2021 came around, Amanah Relief Center was informed that the people of Rimun in Central Java rarely had the opportunity to have Qurbani meat
However, at this time – when Eidul Adha 2021 came around, Amanah Relief Center was in the early process of setting up the nonprofit organization. But that didn’t stop ARC to step up and help those in need.
Within 10days of the campaign, ARC received donation for 5 goats that all went to the village of Rimun. On the day of Eidul Adha 2021, they were able to slaughter the goats and distribute the meat to 120 families, Alhamdulillah.
After the meat was cut into pieces, and the distributed, the leader of the village of Rimun contacted Amana Relief Center and said that they were incredibaly grateful for having qorbani meat after many years without. Thank you to the donors.
