Provide 11-pounds of rice sack to the needy in Indonesia
RAMADHAN RICE 2026....
Indonesia has been through much challenges this last year, specifically with all the rain and flooding throughout Indonesia and especially in Aceh & Medan and the surrounding areas in Northern Sumatra.
We are reaching out again with our most important and annual campaign = the ‘RAMADHAN RICE’ campaign for 2025. Amanah Relief Center’s goal is to help the local Indonesian people during this month of Ramadhan specifically to help orphans, widows, the poor, Islamic boarding schools and the needy throughout Indonesia.
For only $7.00, a donator can provide an 11-pound sack of rice for the people in poor villages of Indonesia. When an Indonesian person eats a bowl of rice, they are gratefully satisfied because ‘Rice’ is their main staple and their stomach is content and satisfied.
The reward for the donor is for every grain of rice a person consumes - what a blessing!
·To provide rice for families in poor struggling areas throughout Indonesia
·To provide a basic food staple for the poor, orphans and widows
·To provide rice sacks for Islamic boarding schools that educate the orphans and the poor
·To provide 600x 11-pound sacks of Rice
·Each sack cost $7.00/sack
·Need to raise TOTAL: $ 5,000.00 for 700x sacks.
Allah SubahanaAllah Ta'ala says:
"And it is obligatory for those who find it difficult (if they do not fast) to pay fidyah, (ie): feed a poor person"
(Surat al-Baqarah: 184).
As for the form for Zakat Fitri and also Fidyah using local staple foods. Allah Ta'ala says:
1. Zakat Fitrah/Fitri: From Ibn Abbas radhiyallahu 'anhuma, he said:
"The Messenger of Allah - peace and prayer of Allah be upon him - required
zakat fitri to purify the fasting person from joking and vile words, and also
to feed the poor. Whoever pays it before the prayer, then his zakat is accepted
and whoever pays it after the prayer, it is only considered as charity among
the various alms."
(Narrated by Abu Daud no. 1609 and Ibn Majah no. 1827. Shaykh Al Albani said that this hadith is hasan.)
2. Fidyah as a substitute for fasting. Fidyah is stated in the word of Allah Ta'ala:
"And it is obligatory for those who find it difficult (if they do not fast) to pay
fidyah, (ie): feed a poor person"
(Surat al-Baqarah: 184)
3. Zakat Maal (Wealth), also in the verse:
"Take zakat from some of their wealth, with that zakat you clean and purify
them and pray for them. Verily, your prayer (becomes) peace of soul for them.
